Today members of PSA took a well-deserved break from our hard work on the Nike campaign to study for finals in the Office of External Affairs. Administrators graciously agreed to meet with us (for an entire seven minutes) during which they acknowledged for the first time that Hansae Vietnam has been severely abusive to its workers. This is a point we have been trying to get across for months. We expect to meet with administrators again next semester to encourage them to turn words into action.

After thanking them for the meeting, we continued studying in the otherwise empty waiting room. Shortly, Assistant VP for External Affairs Mike Ferrari brought in three NUPD officers and “asked” us to leave. Since most of us don’t have time to get arrested on Reading Day, we departed peacefully. This campaign is heating up and building power. Join us next semester in calling on Northeastern to #CutNikeNOW!
